Sarah Leroux (she/her)
Birth and Postpartum Doula I became drawn to birth work after the birth of my first child in 2018. The range of birth-related experiences that I encountered with that pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period changed me and my life, including: a planned homebirth turned emergency belly birth (aka. homebirth cesarean), a perinatal mood disorder, postpartum peer support group participation, individual trauma counselling, breastfeeding challenges, and returning to work outside the home. After a hospital VBAC and NICU stay with my second child, it became abundantly clear to me that my passion is supporting birthing people and their families through all the ways that we bring new life into the world. |
Why Braided River Birth?
This is a good question that I will come back to answer later, but there are definitely multiple meanings behind my birth services name choice!
Who are the people in the photos on your website?
All the photos on my website (save a few stock images) are of my beautiful friends and their families, or of myself and my family. I do not post photos of clients.
